Working with Architects Sand Box Studio and the clients with a contemporary new build home situated in the lower Blue Mountains. The site is surrounded by some large Eucalyptus trees, creating scale and contrast with the architecture and proposed landscape.
The central courtyard presents opportunity to bring the landscape into the house, where scale of planting and the built form creates interesting outlooks curated to be viewed within the house and garden. Using a predominately native planting palette creates a diverse habitat allowing for a range of shade tolerant and sunny aspect planting.
